Happy Year of the Dog!

Xīn nián kuài lè! That means “Have a happy new year” in Chinese, because the Chinese New Year starts today. This is the Year of the Dog. The Spring Festival begins 15 days of parties, fireworks, feasts and parades. It’s traditional to wear red and avoid sweeping; you’ll sweep out good luck the new year brought!

Fireworks for the Blind

Fireworks are incredible to watch, but many blind people have never experienced them. The Disney Research Lab is hoping to change that. They are developing Feeling Fireworks! Users put their hands on a screen and feel vibrations from water sprayed on the back. The spray patterns mimic different types of fireworks.
