Belgrade Zoo’s Oldest Resident

The Belgrade Zoo in Serbia opened in 1936. One year later, a 2 year-old American alligator from Germany, named Muja, joined their population. 81 years later, Muja is still living there, and in good health! He survived multiple bombings during the second World War, but now enjoys lounging around, eating quail and rats.
