Village Creates Language for Deaf Residents

Bengkala, a village in Bali, has a high number of deaf residents. 40 of the 3000 villagers are deaf, but communication is not a problem. Everyone in the community can speak sign language! The town developed their own form of sign language, called Kata Kolok, so that their neighbors would never feel left out.
