What Does the Bird See?

Humans have 3 types of color receptors in our eyes, which are sensitive to red, blue, and green light. Birds also detect a 4th color, in the ultraviolet range. Researchers created a bird-o-vision camera, to simulate what a bird sees. Green leaves show up better, making it easier for birds to travel through dense foliage.
