Do you like to eat 7-layer bean dip? How about 70-layer bean dip. Bush’s beans set a world record with their gargantuan dip, which weighed 1087 pounds! There were 10 different varieties of 7-layer dips, including veggie, Cuban, Caprese, fiesta, and buffalo. Now they need some gigantic chips to scoop it all out.

Texas Dog Gets Gigantic Birthday Wishes

Raise your hand if you celebrate your dog’s birthday. Do you give him presents and special treats? Max Chewning was so excited about his dog’s first birthday, that he rented a billboard to announce it! The electronic sign said “Happy Birthday Dood,” with a picture of the birthday dog. Too bad Dood can’t read!

Along the edges of many roads, the surface has grooves in it. When tires roll over them, the sound is loud and annoying. But some rumble strips are music to your ears, literally! The grooves are placed on the road itself, and patterned to play songs as you drive over them.

Teen Fighting for Kids in Africa

18-year-old Natasha Mwansa was one of the teenagers, who spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland last week. She’s a junior reporter and journalist in Zambia, where she fights for the health and well-being of young people, especially against child marriage. She was the youngest winner of the Global Health Leaders Award.

Coffee to the Rescue

Last week in Canada, quick thinking and coffee saved the lives of 3 kittens. Kendall Diwisch was working outside, when he found the kittens frozen to the ground. Their tails were stuck to a sheet of icy snow. He thawed them to freedom with his coffee, took them home, and found families to adopt them!

Wienermobile Has Been Warned

Road safety is important, especially if you’re driving a hot dog. The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was pulled over by police in Wisconsin, for failing to follow the Move Over Law. If you see a vehicle on the side of the road with it’s emergency lights flashing, you should move over a lane when passing.

River Has a High Alcohol Content

If you saw the fish in California acting weird last week, they might have been drunk. A tank of Cabernet Sauvignon wine sprang a leak, at a winery in Sonoma County. At least 20,000 gallons of wine spilled into Reiman Creek, and Russian River. Luckily, the river was high, so it quickly diluted the spill.
