Back Off or You’ll Get a Black Eye Too!

The Trinidadian guppy is a tiny fish with silver eyes, but their eyes can turn pitch black in just a few seconds. Scientists made robotic fish to study why, and discovered that black eyes were a signal to other fish to back off. It meant they were willing to fight!
