Deposits Inspire More Recycling

Recycling in Oregon has kept over 2 billion beverage containers, out of landfills last year. In 2017, they raised their deposit rate to 10 cents. As a result, 90% of the containers with deposits were recycled! Oregon breweries also use thicker glass, so their bottles can be returned directly to them for reuse. What a great success!
