Reforestation Restores Island’s Health

The Tanzanian island of Kokota was struggling. Its 500 residents had harvested so many trees and resources, that lack of shade caused the soil to turn to dust, and the rivers to dry up. Conservationists from the island of Pemba, helped Kokota plant 300,000 trees, and the island is beginning to thrive again. Trees are awesome!
