Amber, Bees and Grains
A new bee species has been identified, by a researcher in Oregon. The bee got stuck in tree resin, 100,000,000 years ago. The amber preserved both the bee, and its 21 beetle larvae parasites. The bee, named Discoscapa apicula, was also carrying pollen grains. Little did it know, it would provide such valuable information, 100,000,000 years later!
