The oldest known human settlement in North America, existed 11,500 years ago. At least that’s what scientists believed, until they investigated some coprolites more closely. Coprolites are fossilized poop, and the samples they studied, came from humans, 14,000 years ago. They were found in the Paisley Caves in Oregon, along with petrified dog poop.
