Gazing Beyond the Haze

The planets of Uranus and Neptune, are similar in size, mass, and rotation rates. They’re both surrounded by methane, so why are their colors so different? Neptune is a deep blue, while Uranus is a pale blue-green. Planetary physicists found, that Uranus has a thicker layer of haze in the atmosphere, diluting its color.
