In the 19 60’s, Princeton University math students Michael Spivak and David Kelly, got obsessed with the number, 17. The prime number, which is a number that can only be divided by itself and 1, is also the sum of the first 4 prime numbers. To celebrate 17, they created Yellow Pig Day, with a 17-toed-and-toothed mascot.

Sprout is finally blooming. Sprout is a corpse flower that blooms once every 7 years, and smells like rotting flesh! The 8-foot tall flower only lasts 48 hours, and opens at night. You can watch the livestream on YouTube, on the Longwood Gardens’ Stink Cam, but you’ll have to use your imagination for the smell.

The stereotypical college student, eats lots of ramen noodles because they’re cheap. That inspired Holly Grounds, to create edible packaging for the instant noodles. The seasonings are in a film surrounding the noodles, which dissolves in hot water. While it’s still bundled in paper for hygiene, there’s no plastic, or spice pouches to open.

COVID-19 is still widespread, so don’t forget to wash your hands, and use a mask in public. You can easily make your own, to protect other people. Masks that make a tight seal are better at keeping you safer, so try adding a band of stretchy nylon. Cut-up tights work great.

Dozens of people could touch her at once! The longest threadsnake was only 4 inches long, and the width of a spaghetti noodle.
