A man in Connecticut was helping his friend move furniture around the house, when the floor gave way. Christopher Town dropped through the flooring, and kept falling for 30 feet. It turns out, there was a hidden well under the house! Firefighters rescued him, cold and wet, but with only minor injuries.

Going to the bathroom in space stinks. From plastic bags taped in place, to absorbent underwear, to toilets that vacuum waste away, no solution’s perfect. NASA is holding a Lunar Loo Challenge, and asking people to submit ideas, for a toilet that works on the Moon. Winning ideas get $35,000. Can you design one?

Answer! Zero. Elephants don’t go to school! Instead, they walk around in the jungle and make poops so big that it could fill a 5 gallon bucket. Ha ha.

In the last 5 years, David Rush has broken over 150 Guinness world records. He was at it again, with his quarantine buddy Jonathan Hannon. This record was for getting hit in the face with wet sponges the most times, in one minute. Jonathan pelted 106 sponges at him, and 92 found their target. The previous record was 76.

What’s the perfect combination, of sleeping under the stars, social distancing, and colorful lights? How about staying in a glass bubble, in Iceland? The bubble is surrounded by forest, giving you the seclusion of backwoods camping, without the tent to block your view of stars, and lights of the Aurora Borealis. It sounds perfect!

Between 2001 and 2011, astronomers had been watching a massive star, near the end of its lifespan. When a star dies, it usually goes supernova and collapses, forming a black hole. The supernova’s light is visible for years. However, when astronomers tried to find it last year, the star had disappeared, without an explosion. Sneaky star.

Today is Social Media Day, but most social networking isn’t meant for younger kids. There are safe ways for kids to connect online, like Azoomee, GeckoLife, and Cocoon. No matter what age, everyone should remember not to share personal information online, and never post anything, you wouldn’t be comfortable with the whole world seeing.
