Today is Plant Power Day, reminding you to eat plant-based foods. Fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains are packed with power, so try to eat a vegetarian diet all day. Your body will be happy to get healthy food, and the Earth will be happy you’re eating something it grew itself!

Have you ever tried to walk on the bottom of a pool, while you’re underwater? It’s really hard! Croatian diver Boris Milosic, is so good at walking underwater, that he set a new world record. He traveled a distance of 328 feet, before surfacing for air. That’s a breathtaking accomplishment!

Construction work on an apartment building in Las Vegas, had to be halted temporarily. Workers had come across a hummingbird nest on a pipe, with 2 tiny eggs in it! They cut the pipe out and moved it nearby, so the mother and babies won’t be disturbed by the noise and fumes.

A gecko in India wanted to see the world, so he started with Guernsey, in the English Channel. He stowed away in a traveler’s luggage, and wasn’t discovered until Karen Jagger had been home for 2 weeks! The 3-inch-long gehyra gecko, dubbed Mr Patel, had traveled nearly 5000 miles, and is now in quarantine.

Nik Wallenda is known as the King of the Wire. He has walked on tightropes across Times Square in New York, a gorge near the Grand Canyon, and Niagara Falls. Nik’s latest walk, was over the Masaya Volcano in Nicaragua! He used a gas mask to breathe, because of sulfuric gases from the lava.

5 years ago, Riva Weinstock’s brother threatened to bring a llama to her wedding someday. Her marriage finally took place in Ohio, and Mendl delivered on his promise. He brought a llama, all dressed up in a tuxedo! Although the real llama waited outside during the festivities, 2 life-size inflatable llamas sat near the head table.

Crocs, the colorful foam shoes with holes in them, have come up with some crazy designs. There have been Crocs with tube socks, Crocs with bumbags, and Crocs with KFC chicken charms. Their newest limited edition is a collaboration with Peeps. The glittery yellow shoes look sugar-coated, and come with removable marshmallow chick charms!
