Today is Celebrate Your Unique Talent Day. Have a talent show with your family and friends. No matter what your talent is, whether it’s playing an instrument or sport or video game, having loud burps or smelly farts, or making really tall piles of whipped cream from a can, be proud of your abilities!

Today is Eat A Cranberry Day. They’re quite tart, so many recipes add lots of sugar, but raw cranberries are super-nutritious! It’s also Cashew Day. These nuts are seeds formed on the bottom of cashew apples. Look up a picture of a cashew tree! Then celebrate Espresso Day, by sampling some strong coffee.

The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers, where the next number is found by adding the 2 numbers in front of it. 0+1=1, 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 2+3=5, 3+5=8, and so on. Keep the sequence going, for Fibonacci Day! Find the sequence in nature, by looking for spiral patterns in pine cones, sunflowers, or snails!

The world’s largest single coral colony, lives near the Solomon Islands. Scientists from the National Geographic Pristine Seas Initiative, estimate the coral could be 500 years old. It’s about the size of 5 tennis courts! The ocean floor is largely unexplored, so there may be even bigger corals out there.

Do you know what’s inside the Moon? It’s definitely not green cheese. The inner core has a density similar to iron. Scientists used data from Moonquakes, to analyze the acoustic waves. They concluded the inner core was a solid ball, surrounded by a fluid layer, similar to Earth.

There’s a treehouse and cottage in Oxford England, inspired by The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, written by C S Lewis. The property, near where the author lived, features a magic wardrobe that leads to the countryside, a talking mirror, and rooms that look like the beavers’ den and Mr Tumnus’s cave.

Every year, salmon migrate from the ocean, up rivers to where they were born, to spawn and make new babies. The Klamath River in California, had been blocked by dams for 100 years, denying salmon their traditional spawning grounds. The dams were removed last year, allowing salmon to return to the Klamath River.

Today is Go For A Ride Day, and Cranberry Relish Day. You could ride your bike to the store for cranberries! But the most exciting holiday to celebrate, is Start Your Own Country Day! Think of a name for your country, then draw a map, design a flag, and create a new language!

Today is Cranberry Day, Pumpkin Pie Day, and Stuffing Day. Stuff your mouth with little cubes of bread, cooked with seasonings and whatever else you want to add, then decorate a pumpkin pie with cranberries. You can try out new recipes, and pick your favorite to make for Thanksgiving next week.

Have you ever heard of an alascattalo? It’s an animal that’s a cross between a walrus, and a moose! The alascattalo lives in Alaska. Also, Alaskans made the animal up. Alascattalo Day celebrates the humor of Alaskans, who hold a parade in Anchorage. It starts at 12:03, goes one block down an alley, and is 4 minutes long.
