But Casey Perkins, the-van-man, just removed the top and seats from a minivan to make a “Rodeo Rig,” with room for his horse. He recently spotted an even crazier vehicle: a guy on a motorcycle had his horse in a custom-built sidecar!

More than 500 unicorns gathered at once, to set a world record at the 3 Wishes Festival in England. People and pets attending the fairy festival in Mount Edgcumbe Cornwall, wore horns on their heads to take part in the event. i’m not sure how many real unicorns actually showed up!

Stephen Hawking, the physicist who taught the world about black holes, died this past March. But on Friday, a recording of his voice was sent into space through a gigantic antenna by the European Space Agency. The broadcast was beamed toward a binary star system with a black hole, and will arrive in 3500 years.

How many people would you have to send to colonize Proxima Centauri b? Physicists Frederic Marin, and Camille Beluffi calculated crew numbers needed, to get to the neighboring star system with thousands of planets. You’d need to start with 98 people. But they’d have to have many generations of children, because the trip would take 6300 years!

The Irish government has released a map showing thousands of shipwrecks around Ireland. Called the “Wreck Viewer”, the map includes approximate locations, as well as ship names and other information when available. But most of the 3554 wrecks are unidentified. The map doesn’t even show the other 14,414 shipwrecks surrounding Ireland, because their locations are unknown!

The Inca Empire, which lasted from 1400 to 1532, still holds mysteries. They communicated using khipus, instead of written words or pictograms. Khipus are knotted string devices, where the knots can represent numbers, names, or even stories and ancient philosophies. Translating the knots are like code breaking, and nobody’s been able to crack the code!

Paper airplanes are easy and fun to make. But artist Jerry Black and Fitchburg Massachusetts residents, made a more elaborate paper airplane this week that took 3 years to build! It’s over 64 feet long and weighs 1500 pounds. It might be the biggest paper airplane in the world, but unfortunately, it doesn’t fly.

Wildlife conservation efforts in Mexico have had a huge impact on the jaguar population. The number of Mexican jaguars has increased by 20%, to 4,800. The majority of the big cats live in the Amazon rainforest, where there is also some good news. Brazil is creating more parklands and planting millions of trees!
