Virginia Tech college students David Hall and Jordan Klein have a great invention. They developed the Park and Diamond bike helmet. It’s thin and looks like a baseball cap or a beanie, but it’s as durable as a regular bike helmet. You can even fold it up and store it in the bike’s water bottle holder!

Scientists may have discovered how birds navigate. There’s a protein in their eyes that helps them see the Earth’s magnetic fields! Plants and animals have proteins called cryptochromes that are sensitive to blue light. Birds that migrate have high levels of Cry4, the cryptochrome responsible for magnetoreception. It sounds like birds have superpowers!

A company in Germany is making the most environmentally friendly disposable plates ever. They are made from leaves! Leaf Republic makes the waterproof plates out of leaves from Eastern Asia. They come in cool shapes like long rectangles and triangles, and they biodegrade in 4 weeks. But they only come in one color: green.

About 50 dinosaur footprints have been discovered on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The footprints were made by theropods, which walked on two legs like the T-Rex, and long-necked sauropods. The tracks date back 170 million years to the Jurassic period, when the Brothers’ Point area was a muddy lagoon.

Stuart Duncan is attempting to break the “longest videogame marathon on Minecraft” record, which is nearly 36 hours. He wants “to show the world that autistics are equal and capable.” His kids just want their turn!

Tiangong-1, the Chinese space station, has come down in the Pacific Ocean. It was no longer an active space station, and lost communication with Earth, meaning it would eventually fall out of orbit. After weeks of trying to figure out when and where it would crash, all pieces have landed safely in the ocean this morning.
