After tracking down the rightful owner, he returned the money, which had been stolen from the businessman 22 years ago. George received a reward and a job offer.

Scientists from Australia and Britain, are planning a 9,400-mile road trip, in a Tesla electric car. The project is called Charge Around Australia, and will take them through remote regions with scorching temperatures, and no charging stations. Instead, they’ll bring solar panels that roll up, so they can charge their batteries anywhere.

California’s Highway 1-O-1, separates the Santa Monica Mountains from the Palo Comado Canyon. To help animals get across it safely, Los Angeles is building a large wildlife overpass. The bridge of land, will be covered in trees and bushes, so that large animals like mountain lions, can stay hidden as they cross the road.

Do you miss going out to eat? Here’s the safest way. Have a picnic! Pack a lunch and eat in your yard, on your porch, or even on your living room floor, for Picnic Day. It’s also Asparagus Day, and Cherry Cheesecake Day, so make sure you pack those foods, along with sandwiches!

Today is English Language Day. Celebrate by making sure you know the difference between Y-O-U-R and Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E! You can also use old English words, like thee and thou. Dost thou know that it’s Talk Like Shakespeare Day as well? Wherefore art thou Romeo? He’s probably reading by candlelight, because it’s also World Book Night!

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium in Ohio, has announced the hatching of a new Humboldt penguin chick. The tiny penguin is one month old, and is being raised by hand, because of an outbreak of avian flu. The chick is well-protected, and has started eating small fish, along with a fish-based formula.

The largest woodpecker in North America, the ivory-billed woodpecker, was declared extinct over 70 years ago. But there have been over 200 sightings of the supposedly extinct bird since 19 44, including photos, audio recordings, and even feathers. Conservationists are trying to preserve lowland forests in Louisiana, that ivory-billed woodpeckers might call home.
