Did you know, it’s World Tuna Day? There are many different types of tuna living in the ocean. The Atlantic bluefin tuna, can grow 15 feet long, but the biggest tuna fish ever found, was 21 feet long, and weighed 1,600 pounds! They can swim 60 miles per hour and dive 3000 feet deep.

Today is Brothers and Sisters Day, so thank them for being born! You might not always get along, but you can always love each other. Today is Truffle Day. The chocolate truffle is a ball of rich, creamy chocolate ganache, covered or filled with a variety of other ingredients. Delicious! Oh, you don’t like candy? Then you can eat the other kind of decadent truffle. It’s an extremely expensive fungi that grows underground, found by truffle hogs or dogs.

That Tail Is Tops

A miniature horse named Sweetie, has a not-so-miniature tail. In fact, she set the world record, for longest tail on a miniature horse. Although Sweetie is only 3 feet tall, her tail is nearly 6 feet long! Her owner keeps the tail wrapped up, so it won’t drag on the ground.

Have you ever seen a Venus fly trap, a sundew, or a pitcher plant? Today is World Carnivorous Plant Day, and those are some of the plants, that eat meat. Carnivorous plants use different methods to trap insects, like slippery sides, sticky hairs, or jaws that clamp shut. Bugs don’t bug them!
