Today is 12-Hour Fresh Breath Day, so do yourself a favor. Brush your teeth first thing in the morning, because plaque stinks! Brush again after every meal. Don’t forget to floss the particles from between your teeth, so you don’t have rotten food stuck in the cracks. Everyone will love your clean smile.

Old-timey phones used to actually ring. On Ding-A-Ling Day, call people you haven’t talked to in years. Your old babysitter would love to hear from you! Set your mobile’s ring-tone, to old phone, so you’ll ding-a-ling when someone calls you. It’s also Ambrosia Day. The sweet salad has coconut, fruit, marshmallows, and whipped cream!

Gingerbread Poinsettias

Today is Gingerbread House Day. If you try to make a gingerbread house and it breaks, just make it look like a giant jawbreaker-asteroid smashed into it! It’s also Poinsettia Day, a plant indigenous to Mexico. Its vibrant red and green leaves make it a favorite around Christmas, and it has tiny yellow flowers.

Practicing deep breathing, creates a pattern of stretching and relaxing your lungs, which can generate immune responses to viruses. It also strengthens your lungs, so give them some exercise every day, for good health.

A Better Kind of Surfboard

Surfers are excited about new Swellcycle surfboards. The boards are 3D-printed from biodegradable plant materials. Most modern surfboards are carved from petroleum-based blocks of foam, with 40% of the material discarded in landfills. Swellcycle surfboards are made using corn and sugarcane, printed with minimal waste, and don’t shed microplastics into the ocean.

Each year, people around the world win Nobel Prizes of 10,000,000 Swedish kronor, in the categories of Peace, Physics, Literature, Chemistry, Economics, and Physiology or Medicine.
