Fly Out for Some Syrup

Today is Wright Brothers Day. Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first flight in a mechanically propelled airplane, near Kitty Hawk North Carolina, in 1903. That flight only lasted 12 seconds, and went 120 feet. The wingspan of a 747 is longer than that! It’s also Maple Syrup Day. Boiled tree sap sure does taste delicious!

Chocolate Covered Chocolate

Keeping Cockroaches Well-Fed

In China, cockroaches are helping to keep waste out of landfills. At the Shandong Qiaobin Agricultural Technology Company, a billion cockroaches are eating 50 tonnes of food waste every day! When the roaches die, they are used to feed pigs. The company hopes to open more facilities next year. I hope their cockroaches don’t escape!

Traffic Hazards

You never know what you’ll run into, when you’re driving. In New Jersey, money was flying out the back of an armored truck! In Florida, a semi truck overturned, covering the highway with shirts and shoes. And in Texas, a giant spool rolled down the road, for the 4th time in 2 months! Watch out!
