Mickey’s son, Danny Thompson, just set a new land speed record in his dad’s old car! With a few updates, the Challenger 2 hit 448 miles per hour!

Video footage caught a heroic dog in action. Two cats were about to start fighting over food, when a golden retriever stepped in to break it up. He picked up one cat by the collar and carried it away from the potential brawl, restoring peace. What a good dog!

Breaking uncooked spaghetti into two pieces is not as easy as it seems. When the pieces snap back after breaking, bending waves are created, snapping off tiny bits. Researchers at MIT built a spaghetti bending machine, and discovered that twisting the strands before slowly bending them, makes them break cleanly.

A theme park in France is using birds to help clean up trash. The Puy du Fou historical park trained 6 rooks, named Boubou, Bamboo, Bill, Black, Bricole, and Baco, tp pick up rubbish. When they put it into special containers, they get a treat. They hope to teach people not to litter.

Today is National Creamsicle Day! Creamsicles are vanilla ice cream on a popsicle stick, covered with an orange flavored coating. 11 year-old Frank Epperson, made the original creamsicle in 1905, when he experimented with freezing orange juice around a vanilla ice cream popsicle. He originally called his inventions, “epsicles”!

College students in Egypt, have designed a one-person vehicle that’s powered by air! The oxygen-fueled car can go 25 miles per hour, and travel 25 miles before needing to be refueled. They are trying to push those numbers to 62, while still keeping the low $1000 cost. It runs on compressed air, which is way cheaper than gas!

A dust storm on the planet Mars, that started in May and engulfed the whole planet, is finally starting to die down. The storm had caused the Opportunity rover to go into hibernation mode, and it needs solar power to charge back up. Hopefully the dust will settle in a few weeks!
