Creamsicles Are Dreamy

Today is National Creamsicle Day! Creamsicles are vanilla ice cream on a popsicle stick, covered with an orange flavored coating. 11 year-old Frank Epperson, made the original creamsicle in 1905, when he experimented with freezing orange juice around a vanilla ice cream popsicle. He originally called his inventions, “epsicles”!

Air-Powered Car

College students in Egypt, have designed a one-person vehicle that’s powered by air! The oxygen-fueled car can go 25 miles per hour, and travel 25 miles before needing to be refueled. They are trying to push those numbers to 62, while still keeping the low $1000 cost. It runs on compressed air, which is way cheaper than gas!

Opportunity Awaits

A dust storm on the planet Mars, that started in May and engulfed the whole planet, is finally starting to die down. The storm had caused the Opportunity rover to go into hibernation mode, and it needs solar power to charge back up. Hopefully the dust will settle in a few weeks!
