A lamb and a hero were born in Wales during Storm Emma. A mother sheep had twins and the first lamb froze to the ground while the second one was born. Farmer Pip Samuel thought the lamb had died, but his dog Freddie started licking it and revived her! She’s named Frieda, after her hero!

132 years ago, the Captain of the Paula stuffed a message in a bottle and tossed it in the ocean. It was just found on a beach in Australia! It turned out to be part of a German experiment from 1886 charting ocean currents, when thousands of bottles were thrown from German ships. That trip took a while!

The age of dinosaurs wasn’t only for giant creatures. 127 million years ago, birds the size of grasshoppers existed! The tiny birds, with teeth and clawed fingers on their wings, were less than 2 inches long. The enantiornithine fossil from the Cretaceous Period was found in Spain at the Las Hoyas fossil site.

7 year-old Montannah Kenney is getting ready to take on a mountain. She and her mom, Hollie, will attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. She hopes to become the youngest female ever to climb Kilimanjaro. Keats Boyd, also 7, was the youngest male to complete the feat.
