April showers bring May flowers. But what do May flowers bring? Pilgrims, haha. Celebrate April Showers Day, by playing in the rain. Today is also Narwhal Day, a type of whale with horn-like tooth growing out of its head. Also known as Unicorns of the Sea, narwhals live in icy Arctic waters.

Today is Beagle Day, a type of dog. The most famous beagle is Snoopy. What’s your doggie’s name? Also, what’s your favorite jelly bean flavor? Sample them all, for Jelly Bean Day! The Jelly Belly Bean Boozled packs, have flavors like vomit, rotten egg, and earwax. Do you dare try them?

56 years ago, on April 22nd 1970, Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson created Earth Day. He wanted people to focus on the environment, air and water pollution. It grew into a global movement, bringing the world together to try and keep the Earth clean, prevent global warming, and preserve nature for future generations. Happy Earth Day!

Today is World Curlew Day. Curlews are birds with long, curving beaks, and mottled brown feathers. Part of the sandpiper family, there are 9 species of the large, ground-dwelling bird. Since it’s World Creativity and Innovation Day, today it’s up to you, to decide what to do! Make an effort to do something creative or innovative. Create some art, figure out a new way to do something, rearrange the furniture, try a new recipe, or invent your own language.

Happy Kindergarten Day! Kindergarten is where you learn some of the most important things in life. You need to share, respect others, and be kind. Of course, learning your letters and numbers is important too! Thank you, Kindergarten teachers, for making us all better humans!

Today is Chocolate Covered Cashews Day. Cashew nuts are seeds, formed on the bottom of cashew apples. They’re crazy-looking! It’s also Tea Day. Have a tea party with your teddy bears, pets, and family. Do you have a pet bulldog? Take some photos to show them off, for Bulldogs Are Beautiful Day!

Did you know, it’s Big Word Day? Some long words, like antidisestablishmentarianism, don’t come up in most conversations. Other important-sounding words, are uncommon, but have simple meanings. For instance, another word for beautiful, is pulchritudinous. Utilize a substantial vocabulary to electrify your consanguineous contemporaries, simply means, use big words to impress your family.

Exercise is good for your body, but it’s also good for your brain. Scientists found that even a few minutes of exercise, can focus your attention, memory, and processing speed. Those benefits can last into the next day, too! If you have a test tomorrow, take a brisk walk before studying, and good luck!

Today is Look Alike Day. Dress like your brother, and blame it on him when you get caught swiping cookies. You can also slice apples, to make them look like french fries. Since it’s Cheddar Fries Day, melt some gooey cheese on top of actual french fries, for a delicious snack.
