7th-grader Diesel Pippert earned $15,000 at the county fair, by selling animals. He then took all of his earnings, and donated them to the Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital! His generosity is inspiring others to donate as well. The Western Reserves School District in Ohio is very proud of their young hero!

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo in New York, has 2 Amur leopard cubs, that just had healthy 6-week check-ups. The cubs mom and dad, Tria and Rafferty, are part of the Species Survival Plan. Less than 90 Amur leopards remain in the wild, due to habitat loss in Russia from logging and farming. They are now protected!

Conservationists may have just saved a frog species from extinction. The Loa water frog’s only known habitat is a stream in the Atacama desert in Chile. The team of researchers rescued the last 14 of the endangered frogs, just before the stream dried up. The water disappeared due to mining, agriculture, and real estate development.
