Children are pushing older people to recycle, re-use grocery bags, pick up trash, and think of the environment. Young people are inspiring others to take care of the Earth!

Get out all your pink clothes, because it’s Pink Day! The color pink is not just for girls. In fact, it used to be the color for boys in the 19th century, since it’s a lighter shade of red, which was considered masculine. These days, anybody can wear any color, because they’re all great!

Try Out a Typewriter

Today is Typewriter Day. Typing on a computer, where you can delete mistakes, or move paragraphs around, is so easy. But what happens when the printer won’t work again? On a typewriter, you can enjoy rolling the paper in, listening to the clacks and dings, and watching keys strike the paper. It’s so satisfying!

Surf the Sky

A photo by Amy Christie Hunter, is inspiring people to learn about clouds. She photographed rare cloud formations, that look like waves in the ocean. The Kelvin-Helmholtz waves appeared over Smith Mountain in Virginia. Wind at the top of the clouds moves faster than wind at the bottom, creating beautiful crests!

Take a Taco Vacation

Taco Bell lovers, get ready. A temporary Taco Bell resort will open in Palm Springs California, August 4th through 8th. There will be hot sauce room keys, pillows, and pool floats, Taco Bell wall art, and of course, lots of Taco Bell food! I wonder if there’ll be tortilla blankets! Sleep like a burrito!

Fainting goats are a type of goat that fall over, whenever they get  startled. A cocker spaniel in the UK, must be a fainting dog! Peter is an adorable puppy, that falls over when he gets excited. His legs stiffen up for a few seconds. The vet says it’s harmless— just a bit goofy-looking!

Cockatiel Reunited With Family

Sam Esposito was sitting outside with his dad, when a bird landed on his shoulder. They found out through Facebook, that it was a pet cockatiel named Cheesey, who had been missing for days! There was even a $1000 reward. The Espositos didn’t take the reward money, but accepted t-shirts dubbing them, “Cheese’s Heroes.”
