Working with National Geographic, the Nature Conservancy, and Fundacion Flora y Fauna, he hopes to protect 30% of the Earth’s surface. Protected areas will help save plant and animal species, and preserve the environment for all people.

In the United Kingdom, ballet dancers have a new option for pointe shoes, which traditionally came only in pink or cream colors. Dancers with dark skin tones had to color the shoes to match their complexions. The Ballet Black dance company worked with Freed of London, to sell brown and bronze pointe shoes!

The Niland Geyser is on the San Andreas Fault, and unstoppable mud oozes from the tectonic boundary, flowing under the wall built to protect the railroad. It has moved 240 feet in the last 10 years!

In Muncie Indiana, homeless people can use a vending machine that dispenses clothing and blankets. They get free tokens to use in the machines when ever they need supplies. The contents in the machines were donated by residents, who wanted to help the needy in the community, and show they care.

In Norway, you may soon be able to retrieve your mail from a robot! The mail delivery droid can deliver to 100 houses per day. As it approaches the house, a phone app alerts the resident to come out and get their mail from the robot’s locked compartments. I wonder if it has snow tires!
