This summer, an 8 year-old girl named Saga Vanecek was boating in Sweden. Lake Vidöstern was extremely low because of a drought, and she found a sword in the shallow water! It was 33 inches long, preserved in a wood and leather scabbard, and could be from pre-Viking, Iron Age times. It’s an estimated 1500 years old!

Cows pass a lot of gas. The methane produced by one cow is equal to 3 tons of carbon dioxide a year! A Swiss company named Agolin, is producing a livestock feed that will make cows fart less. They will help reduce harmful gasses in our atmosphere, by feeding cows better food!

An Australian man built a LEGO replica of a 1973 Viscount Royal caravan. The life-size camper has a kitchen, running water, electricity, and a very uncomfortable bed! Ben Craig used 288,630 LEGO bricks to create the model, and spent $72,000 building it. It would have only cost about $2000 to buy the real thing, but that’s boring!

A racehorse in France decided to cause some chaos last week. She got away from her trainer and ran into a nearby sports-betting bar! A security camera showed the horse running and kicking through the bar, while people ran out of the way. She made a big mess, and never did get her drink!

Yellowstone National Park is located over a volcanic caldera in the United States. It has lots of geysers and hot springs. The Ear Spring Geyser recently erupted for the first time in 60 years. The boiling water was full of garbage, such as old coins, a pacifier from the 1930’s, and lots of cigarette butts!

Hyperloop Transportation Technologies introduced the world’s first hyperloop passenger pod. It’s made with vibranium, and looks like an airplane without wings. The pod will carry passengers underground in hyperloop tubes, at up to 760 miles per hour! The pods shoot through a tunnel that’s a near-vacuum, floating on air like a giant air hockey puck!
