The Los Angeles Metro Lost and Found, receives about 1000 lost items per month. Most of the things left behind on buses and trains are to be expected, like phones, sunglasses, or backpacks. But they’ve also recovered blowtorches, bicycles, a surfboard, a 55-inch TV, and a prosthetic leg! How do you forget that?

Each spring, buzzards show up in Hinckley Ohio. The turkey vultures have returned to the cliffs and caverns of Whipp’s Ledges like clockwork every March 15th. Everyone in town loves watching for them on Buzzard Day! Vultures eat dead animals, so look for them along roadsides. They also soar in circles in the sky.

Some people think they know everything. They won’t appreciate Everything You Think Is Wrong Day! Leave decision-making for another day, since whatever you choose will be wrong. It’s also World Speech Day. Make awards for everyone in your family, then take turns giving acceptance speeches! Don’t forget to clap and cheer them on!

Beware the Ides of March. That’s today! But unless you’re Julius Caesar, you’re safe. Julius Caesar was a Roman leader, who was assassinated March 15th, in 44 BC. That line is from a play by William Shakespeare, when a soothsayer was warning Caesar that his life was in danger. It’s fun to say it ominously!

It’s Children’s Craft Day, and Write Down Your Story Day, so you should create your own book. Carry some supplies in a bumbag, because it’s International Fanny Pack Day. You might not be a kangaroo, but everyone could use an extra pouch! Go on an adventure, and illustrate it as you go along.

Today is Genealogy Day, which is the study and tracing, of lines of descent. Do you know your family ancestors? Start with your parents, then your parents’ parents, and so on. You can also research Census records, or use genealogy websites. Your family tree will have lots of branches before you know it!

Today is International Ask A Question Day. Go ahead, ask me anything! It’s also Learn About Butterflies Day, and Moth–er Day. Butterflies and moths are similar, but what things make them different? Do some research. Did you know butterflies like your salty sweat? Maybe they’ll enjoy Potato Chip Day with you!

Today is Genius Day, in honor of famous scientist Albert Einstein. Improve your own intelligence, by celebrating International Day Of Mathematics, and Science Education Day. Combine your love of math and science, to count the legs on a spider, before setting it free, for Save A Spider Day. Maybe you’ll become an arachnologist someday!
