Trick Question Gets Creative Answers
Some fifth graders in China are making world news after they got a crazy math test question. “If a ship has 26 sheep and 10 goats on board, how old is the ship’s captain?” was the unsolvable problem designed to test students’ critical awareness. The students gave creative answers including narcissism, animal weight, and licensing ages.
