Birds Could Fit in a Sauropod Nostril

The age of dinosaurs wasn’t only for giant creatures. 127 million years ago, birds the size of grasshoppers existed! The tiny birds, with teeth and clawed fingers on their wings, were less than 2 inches long. The enantiornithine fossil from the Cretaceous Period was found in Spain at the Las Hoyas fossil site.

Cretaceous Period Eyeball Found

A 120 million year-old eyeball was discovered in a bird fossil found in China. The soft eye tissues were remarkably preserved and show that the small enantiornithe, who has not yet been named, could see in color! The Cretaceous period bird also had a beak full of teeth and clawed wings.
