Dinosaur Footprints in NASA Parking Lot

Ray Stanford was driving out of the NASA parking lot in Greenbelt Maryland when he spotted a dinosaur footprint. It was a 110 million year-old nodosaur print, and it wasn’t the only one. The sandstone preserved a Cretaceous moment in time with 70 footprints, a tubular worm and a coprolite, which is fossilized dinosaur poop!

215 Pterosaur Eggs Found in China

Scientists unearthed 215 fossilized pterosaur eggs in China, including 16 that contained preserved embryos. Pterosaurs were flying vertebrates that lived 120 million years ago in the Cretaceous period. Researchers think the soft-shelled 3 inch long eggs were so well preserved because a flood washed them into the bottom of a lake.
