New Dinosaur Tracks Discovered in Scotland

About 50 dinosaur footprints have been discovered on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The footprints were made by theropods, which walked on two legs like the T-Rex, and long-necked sauropods. The tracks date back 170 million years to the Jurassic period, when the Brothers’ Point area was a muddy lagoon.

Dinosaur With Iridescent Feathers

Caihong jugi means “rainbow with the big crest”, and it’s the name of a duck-sized dinosaur found in China. The detailed fossil showed a Jurassic period dinosaur covered in shaggy plumage with a long skull and fan-shaped tail. Preserved melanosomes like a hummingbird’s mean it had brightly colored iridescent feathers!
