Don’t Let the Flu Bring You Down

The best way to avoid the flu is to stay out of its way. Droplets in the air can travel 3 to 6 feet from an infected person. Frequent hand-washing also helps. If you do get the flu, drink a cup of water every hour and sit up to help your lungs clear bacteria.

Why Does Your Nose Run?

Sometimes extreme cold gives you a runny nose. Cold-induced rhinitis can cause your nose to drip a cup of fluid a day! When you inhale, your nose has to make the air warm and wet to avoid irritating your lung cells. Secretions create humidity, but sometimes your nose just makes more than necessary.
