Skip the Straw, or at Least Use a Paper One

Plastic straws are one of those little things that have a big impact on the environment. They pollute the oceans, cause harm to animals, and never biodegrade. McDonald’s will begin testing paper straws in its UK locations starting in May! This is a great step towards reducing single-use plastics. Good job Ronald McDonald!

Lights Out for Earth Hour

At 8:30 pm today, turn off all your lights for Earth Hour. People around the globe will participate at 8:30 in their time zone, creating a wave of darkness sweeping across the Earth. Earth Hour was created to bring attention to each person’s part in protecting our planet. What will you do to help?
