Three meerkat pups were born at a Florida zoo. The triplets were named Vixen, Comet and Cupid after Santa’s reindeer. They are still hiding out in their burrow with their parents, Cashew and Kirabo. Meerkats are found in the grasslands of southern Africa and live in social groups called mobs.

A zoo in Florida welcomed a second new reticulated giraffe this week with the birth of a female calf. Luna, the mother is doing well. This is her fourth calf and makes number 18 for Duke, the father. The birth marks the 41st giraffe calf born at the zoo.
