A neighborhood in Tucson Arizona, was surprised to see a flock of bighorn sheep, wandering through their yards. The nearby Bighorn Fire, in the Santa Catalina Mountains, had caused the animals to flee. Until the fire is extinguished, the bighorn sheep will probably stay in their new neighborhood, eating everyone’s grass.

In Chicago Illinois, a small house designed by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, was saved from demolition. Supporters raised $300,000 to save the Booth Cottage, by having it moved 4 blocks away. It was loaded onto dollies, and rolled down the street. The 107-year-old house will be converted into a museum.

China just launched a Long March 5 rocket, headed to Mars. The Tianwen-1 mission will deliver a Mars orbiter, lander, and rover to the planet, after a 7-month journey. NASA will be sending their 5th Mars rover, named Perseverance, in a week. You can watch the July 30th launch, at NASA.gov.

Ant-Man may not be real, but scientists have designed a way to get an ant’s view. They created a tiny video-camera backpack, to be worn by insects. Scientists can even move the camera using bluetooth, to get a panoramic view. Now they can study the secret life of bugs.

Over 1,000,000 seed samples, are tucked away in an Arctic seed bank. Nicknamed the Doomsday Vault, the bunker in Svalbard Norway, will preserve samples of plants grown on Earth, in case of catastrophe. A nearby vault also contains the Arctic World Archive. 21 terabytes of data were just added by GitHub, to preserve the world’s technologies.

There are plenty of incredible stories, about dogs who find their way home, from thousands of miles away. Czech scientists may have figured out the trick. Canines can sense Earth’s magnetic field, and use it to navigate. Other animals, like birds and frogs, also use magnetoreception. It may be more common than anyone thought.
