It’s World Nature Conservation Day. Start your morning with a nature walk outdoors. Don’t forget a bag, to pick up any trash you find. Reward yourself with a candy bar, since it’s Milk Chocolate Day! It’s also Waterpark Day. Time to slip down some water slides, or plunge into a wave pool!

93-year-old Thomas Kemp, had owned motorcycles since he was a teenager. The World War 2 veteran from London, might be too old to ride them now, but he can still look the part. He has a mobility scooter, that looks like a Harley-Davidson motorcycle! He still prefers walking, but takes his motor-scooter on longer journeys.

Artist Vincent Bal’s drawings, depend on the light. More importantly, they depend on shadows. Some of the lines and shapes in his drawings, are formed by the shadows of everyday objects. You can check out his quirky artwork on his Vincent-Bal Instagram page, then try and make your own shadow art.

Wearing a mask is an easy way to help protect yourself, and others, against COVID-19. You might as well have some fun with it. How about a mask, that looks like a bowl of ramen noodles! That way, if your glasses get fogged up, it’ll make it look like your noodles are steaming.

Today is Gary Gygax Day. He created the role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons, in 1974. Get a group of wizards and barbarians together, and learn to play D & D. You’ll need same snacks, so how about popcorn and crème brûlée, also known as burnt cream. Since it’s Crème Brûlée Day, enjoy a caramelized custard cup.

Today is Walk On Stilts Day. You might have to make your own stilts so you can tower over everyone. Once you’ve practiced, you can also celebrate Take Your Houseplant For A Walk Day. Your plant will enjoy some unfiltered sunshine, and on stilts, it’ll be even closer to the sky!

11-year-old Syler Elliott, came home from his family vacation in Florida, with a rare souvenir. He found one of the biggest sand dollars in the world, 12 feet underwater! The biggest-ever sand dollar, found by Canadian 4th-grader Neko Wong, is 6.49 inches. Syler’s is very close, but he’ll for sure have set a new Florida record!

British police officers investigated at a public park in West Sussex, after receiving reports of a large apex predator. They spotted a black panther on a park bench, but it stood its ground as they approached. They soon realized, it was only a very life-like stuffed toy! Maybe it can be their new mascot.

Japan’s new bullet train, is ready for anything. The N700 Supreme is a high-speed train, that can travel at 186 miles-per-hour, has power outlets between the seats, and can switch to battery-power in the event of an earthquake! Since earthquakes, typhoons, and tsunamis all occur in Japan, it’s wise to be prepared for disaster.

Bagels for breakfast, lunch and dinner are on today’s menu, because it’s National Bagelfest Day! The chewy bread comes in many flavors, and you can top them with just about anything. It’s also Coffee Milkshake Day. You can have your coffee and bagels like the grown-ups, but your coffee will be cold and supersweet!
