It’s Balloons Around The World Day! Tie a helium balloon to your wrist, to follow you around, or blow one up, and rub it on your hair. Static electricity will make it stick! Ambush your friends, with water balloons, or take a hot air balloon ride. Remember, never let balloons fly away. That’s littering!

Get a 4 by 6 piece of construction paper, and draw a picture. Now turn it over, and stick a stamp on it. Add an address and a little note. You just made a postcard, for World Postcard Day. Maybe you could send it to your grandparents, in honor of Older Persons Day.

Today is Pumpkin Spice Day. The favorite fall flavor is in foods from cereal to ravioli. There’s even a pumpkin spice latte engagement ring! It has a center diamond shaped like whipped cream, surrounded by orange sapphires in a cup-shaped setting. You can wear your favorite coffee drink, while you smell the scented box.

It’s Homemade Cookies Day, so here’s my favorite recipe. Mix 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup peanut butter, with 1 egg. Press balls of dough with a fork to make a criss-cross pattern. Bake at 350 degrees, for 10 minutes! It’s also World Vegetarian Day. Skip the meat! Cookies don’t have meat in them, so you can celebrate both!

Get your jaws ready, to celebrate Chewing Gum Day! People have been chewing gum for more than 5000 years. They started by chewing blobs of wax, tree sap, or bark tar. It didn’t taste good, and they couldn’t blow bubbles with it, but it satisfied the need to gnaw on something!

Today is Love People Day. Sometimes we need to remember that we’re all part of the human race, and we should love each other. Yes, even when your brother is being annoying. Encourage the warmth of a heart full of love, with a cup of warm spiced apple cider, for Hot Mulled Cider Day.

Two dogs, named Hero and Daquiri, share the world record for most tricks performed by a dog in one minute. They each performed 60 tricks! Teach your pet a new trick, for Pet Tricks Day. I taught my cat how to ignore me, and my pet rock can sit. What can your pet do?

You may have watched the animated TV series, Thunderbirds Are Go, in recent years. But have you ever watched the original Thunderbirds, from 19 65? The British TV series was made using Supermarionation, with life-like puppets. Today is Thunderbirds Day, so look up the original episodes, and watch the International Rescue Team at work!

The last school day in September, is Ask A Stupid Question Day. Don’t be embarrassed, just ask! Your teachers will be ready for October, after a day of silly questions! You can also have fun, by seeing if I can answer some stupid questions, like if I can fart.

There were reports of a slow-moving meteor last week, from California to Nevada. The fireball was actually a Starlink satellite, falling back to Earth. As satellites reenter the atmosphere, they break into pieces and burn up. The Aerospace Corporation, which tracks falling satellites, had predicted several incoming Starlink satellites that night.
