Today is Disc Golf Day. If you don’t have a disc golf course nearby, grab a frisbee and make your own targets to hit. Landing it in a birdbath, can be a hole-in-one. It’s also Mustard Day. Which do you like better; smooth yellow mustard, or coarse brown mustard full of crunchy mustard seeds?

Fred Reissman once collected 228 four-leaf clovers in under 2 hours, setting a world record, while Gabriella Gerhardt’s collection of 118,791 four-leaf clovers is the world’s largest. 10-year-old Katie Borka found 166 four-leaf clovers in 1 hour, in her own back yard! Try your luck at finding a four-leaf clover, for Four-Leaf Clover Day!

Get your crayons or colored pencils out, because it’s Coloring Book Day! If you don’t have one, ask everyone to draw pictures for you with black markers, then color them in. It’s also Ice Cream Sandwich Day. Do you want your ice cream on wheat or white bread? Just kidding! Use cookies!

Have you ever gotten a baseball autographed? Imagine having a baseball with thousands of autographs!  A giant baseball with an 8-foot diameter, was taken to 15 Minor League Baseball stadiums, to gather 6,750 signatures. It now holds the world record for most signatures on a baseball.

A sea lion in California, got too far from the beach, and was spotted wandering on the road. Police guided the sea lion, nicknamed Pointer, to a nearby park. Pointer enjoyed the park’s sprinklers while waiting for Marine Mammal Center workers. They’ll release him back in the ocean, after treating him for an infection.

Today is Water Balloon Day. Have a massive water balloon fight with your family. Don’t forget to pick up the balloon scraps! You could also ambush someone, if you want to be sneaky. Drop it on them from above, then jump in bed and pretend you were asleep. I hope you fool them!

Can you imagine a world without the internet? Many of your parents were born before “www” meant anything! That alone deserves respect today, on Respect For Parents Day. It’s World Wide Web Day also. Thank you to Tim Berners-Lee for inventing the magnificent way to connect everyone in the world in seconds, back in 1989!

Today is World Ranger Day. With over 100,000 parks and protected areas around the world, park rangers are essential. In nature reserves where endangered species like elephants live, park rangers put their lives on the line, to protect animals from poachers. Park rangers help preserve the parks, so everyone can enjoy them forever!

Today is Fairy Floss Day! Spun sugar has been around since the 15th century. It’s also known as cotton candy, or candy floss. Maybe that’s because confectioner John Wharton and dentist William Morrison, invented the first cotton candy machine. Don’t floss your teeth with cotton candy, or you’ll need to see a dentist!
