Fun Facts About Horses

Horses have lived on Earth at least 50,000,000 years. Humans domesticated them, for transportation, farming, and racing, but there are still wild horses. Horses can run up to 55 miles-per-hour! The tallest horse ever, Sampson, was 7-foot-2-inches tall. Thumbelina, the world’s smallest horse, was only 17 inches tall! Happy Day Of The Horse!

The Little Boat Crossed the Big Sea

Last March, students from Central Falls Rhode Island, made a miniboat. They named it Inspiration, added GPS trackers, included information about the schools that helped build it, and launched it into the Atlantic Ocean. 10 months later, the boat was found on a beach in England! British students had a videochat with the ship-builders.

Amusing Animal Antics

The 2022 Comedy Wildlife Photography Award winners have been chosen. The grand prize winner, is a photo of a lion cub, losing its grip on a tree trunk.
