Decorate Your Eggs Before You Eat Them

Happy Easter! Today Christians celebrate the resurrection, when Jesus Christ rose from the dead almost 2000 years ago. New life and Spring are represented by Easter bunnies, and colored eggs! Even if you don’t celebrate Easter, you can join in egg hunts, eat candy, and appreciate the spring flowers.

Use a Soft Pillow

Get your pillows ready. It’s International Pillow Fight Day! Try not to bust open the pillow, or anyone’s head. Some cities even have a giant community pillow fight! It’s also Tag Day, so maybe you can make a new game, and tag people with pillows. Not it!

Go Around the Rats

Walking in straight lines is overrated. Today is Walk Around Things Day, so walk around every pebble, or walk around your mom. Walk around your cat, and walk around your dog. It’s also World Rat Day, so give all the rats a friendly wave, as you try to walk around them too!

Drum Your Fingers

Today is World Drummer’s Day. The wonderful thing about drumming, is that you don’t even need a drum! While playing on a drum kit, bongos, or a kettle drum, each make unique sounds, you can just use your hands on your belly, to drum out rhythms. Keep the beat going all day long!

Natural Vitamins Are Best

Today is Vitamin C Day. Vitamin C is found in lots of fruits and vegetables, like oranges and spinach. It’s also Carrot Day, a good source of beta-carotene, which your body converts to Vitamin A! Eat your food outside, so your body can make Vitamin D from sunshine. Vitamins are the ABC’s of Health!

Mission to the Moon Launched Successfully

On Monday, the Artemis 2 mission to the Moon began. NASA’s SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, carrying 4 astronauts. They will loop around the Moon and return to Earth after the 10-day mission. This marks the first time astronauts have left Earth orbit, since 1972.

The Ocean’s Depths Are Full of Mysteries

71% of the Earth is covered in water, and it’s full of animals. There are over 220,000 aquatic species that have been identified, but there could be 2,000,000 more undiscovered species. Today, on World Aquatic Animal Day, dream about all the unknown animals that humans have never seen, living deep in the ocean.

Do Fish Even Have Fingers?

Today is Chocolate Mousse Day. One easy recipe of the light, chocolatey dessert, requires only heavy cream and chocolate. It’s also Official Fish Fingers And Custard Day, which will only make sense if you watch Doctor Who. It sounds revolting. I’ll stick to the chocolate mousse instead!

A Party in Every Color

Today is Find A Rainbow Day. Rainbows in the sky are caused by reflection, refraction, and dispersion of light in water droplets. You can create your own rainbow on a sunny day by making a fine spray of water with a hose. Have a party when you find one; it’s also World Party Day!
