22,000 Diapers and Counting…

Last year, 11-year-old Cartier Carey formed his own non-profit organization, called Kids 4 Change 757. He spent this summer working at his lemonade stand, in Hampton Roads Virginia. He’s raising money, to help the single mothers in his community, by buying them diapers and wipes. He also makes care packages for the homeless, called Carti packs.

Press Conference Gets Immediate Results

80-year-old Harry Harvey, had gone missing during a hailstorm, while he was out hiking in England. Police, Air Force, and rescue workers conducted a 4-day search. His family was holding a press conference about his disappearance, when Harvey showed up! He was in good health, and his son joked that his father was grounded.

Don’t Crumple Up Your Calculator

Engineers at Purdue University, have developed a printing process, that can turn any piece of paper into a keyboard. After coating the paper with flourinated molecules, to make it repel water, oil, and dust, they can print layers of touch-sensitive circuits. You could soon play music, by touching printed notes!

This Exhibit’s Making Me Hungry

Artist Sam Keller created a sculpture, that looks delicious. It’s a sphere, that appears to be made out of Cheetos! The delicate orange Cheetosphere, would go good with one of Sam’s sparkly, rhinestone-encrusted soda-cans. He has also created The Nacho Cheese Fountain, and an Illuminati Laser-Etched Dorito. His art looks good enough to eat.

Alpac-Attack!

Today is Alpaca Day. The furry mammal is a camelid, and looks like a llama. They are native to South America, and were raised by the Incas for their soft fleece, 6000 years ago. Alpacas will use a common dung heap, so some people keep them in the house! You can also take alpaca-yoga classes.
