Today is Draw A Dinosaur Day, so draw a picture of your favorite dinosaur. Whether it’s a long-necked apatosaurus, pointy-backed stegosaurus, three-horned triceratops, or fierce short-armed T-rex, you can make it whatever color you want. Some dinosaurs had feathers! Draw an imaginary dinosaur if you prefer. Maybe it just hasn’t been discovered yet.

Yodel-oh-delay-he-who! It’s Yodel For Your Neighbor Day. I know you can yodel better than me, haha! Did you know, herders in the Swiss Alps used to call their animals in by yodeling? It was also used to communicate between villages, but you can start by yodeling hello, across the street.

2-Year-Old Sets Two World Records

A 2-year-old pool prodigy, has become the youngest player to ever make a snooker double pot. Jude Owens sank 2 balls into different pockets, with a single strike of the cue ball. The toddler followed that feat, by becoming the youngest person to make a pool bank shot, all before the age of 3!

Capybara Bathtime

Multiple zoos in Japan, took part in a capybara long bath showdown. They timed how long their capybaras willingly stayed in a bathtub. The winner, aptly named Prune, spent 1 hour 45 minutes lounging in the tub at Nagasaki Bio Park. The 4th place winner, Hechima, is also a watermelon speed-eating contest champion.

Maybe I’ll Make a Snow Squid

Did you know it’s Snow Sculpting Week? If you have fresh snow, make some snow people and animals. Is your snow too old and crusty? Carve the mounds of snow shoveled from your driveway, into a giant caterpillar, or chisel a face into the mountain of snow in a parking lot.

Safety Pups

Today is Seeing Eye Dog Day. They are dogs that are trained to lead blind and visually impaired humans. They help people around obstacles. Dogs are color blind, and can’t read street signs, so they still need to be assisted by their human. Never pet or distract a guide dog. They’re working!

Did you wake up in a bad mood this morning? Go ahead and be grumpy; it’s Curmudgeons Day! A curmudgeon is a bad-tempered person. It’s also Puzzle Day, and Corn Chip Day. There are too many pieces in this puzzle! These chips taste stale! It can be fun to act like a curmudgeon!

Taking photos of yourself can be entertaining, but today is meant for more studious selfies. It’s Library Shelfie Day. Arrange all your favorite books on shelves behind you, and then pose with them. You could even visit an actual library, and get a group shot with your favorite author’s books. Smile and say “Reed!”
