The structure, called the Crystal, has a newly-opened Exploration Deck, featuring exhibits about space travel. It includes a glass-bottomed observation deck, 820 feet off the ground! Residents of Yukon Pennsylvania, at first thought they spotted a small black bear. Actually, it was a large black pig! The pig has been wandering the streets for days, and seems to be friendly, but no one has claimed him yet. Meanwhile, the big pig is having fun, rooting through people’s gardens!

Who Lost a Piece?

Archaeologists working at the Ytre Fosse site in Norway, have uncovered a nearly complete ancient board game. It’s a version of the Roman game called ludus latrunculorum, from 1700 years ago. They found 19 pieces made of bone, including elongated dice. The game was probably a challenge of military tactics, similar to chess or backgammon.

Balancing Fruit Ninja

David Rush has broken over 150 world records, to promote STEM education. His latest feat was to slice kiwis with a sword, while standing on a balance board. His record-setting accomplice Jonathan Hannon, threw kiwis at David, who successfully sliced 65 of them. I hope they also sliced some strawberries and bananas, for a fruit salad!

Cinquefrondi is a town in Italy, that has had no reported cases of COVID-19. It’s using that as a selling point, in addition to offering houses for 1 dollar! The COVID-free village in Calabria, launched Operation Beauty, to attract new residents who are willing to renovate abandoned houses. Sounds favoloso to me!

GoPro Still Works After Months in Ocean

12-year-old Pete Cole lost his GoPro in February. The Australian boy was surfing in Tasmania, when a wave ripped the camera off. He thought it was lost forever. Months later, a couple found it washed up on the beach. Amazingly, it still worked! They posted photos on Facebook, and reunited Pete and his camera.
