In Africa, the Republic of Congo has created a new national park. The Ogooué-Leketi National Park is home to elephants, buffalos, orangutans, and mandrills. The 860,000 acre park will help protect those vulnerable species, just as a nearby national park helped to save the mountain gorilla. The plants and animals will be safe there!

After years of research, scientists developed a packaged pizza that could be stored for years, resist insects, and withstand any kind of weather. When Hunter Shamatt lost his wallet on a flight, he thought he’d lost it for good. He was happily surprised however, when his wallet showed up in the mail, still holding his paycheck, ID, debit card, and cash. Todd Brown had even put some extra money in there, to help Hunter celebrate it’s return!

The city of Gera, in Germany, built the world’s tallest drink crate Christmas tree. It was over 58 feet tall, and created out of 2790 crates. Sri Lanka still holds the record for the tallest artificial Christmas tree though, set in 2016. Their tree had 600,000 lights, and stood 238 feet tall!

Bears are preparing for hibernation, and they’re searching for food everywhere. In California, a bear stood up on 2 legs, opened the door to a police facility, and waltzed right in! He walked past the vending machines, and wandered out a few minutes later, followed by police officers. He should try a grocery store instead!

A couple’s pet peacock got lonely and ran off to live with new friends: a bunch of wild turkeys. Although he hangs around near the house for treats, his human family can’t get him to come back in. Pea the peacock will probably come in when it gets cold, and bring his turkey pals!
