Astronomers have discovered that planet HR 8799c, is a giant gas planet 7 times larger than Jupiter, and it has water in the atmosphere! It’s a step closer to finding an Earth-like planet.

A teenager in Germany celebrated getting his driver’s license, by showing off for his friends. He got caught going 60 miles per hour, when the speed limit was only 30. Only 49 minutes after getting his license, the police revoked it. He’ll have to attend driver’s training all over again to get it back, plus pay $228!

On Monday, a spacecraft named InSight will be landing on Mars. The previous Mars rovers, Opportunity and Curiosity, explored across the surface. InSight however, will dig 16 feet down to learn more about the inside of Mars. It will measure heat, seismic activity from quakes and meteorite strikes, and planetary rotation. Happy landing, little spacecraft!

In 1621, in Plymouth Massachusetts, English colonists and the Wampanoag people, who had helped the colonists survive the winter, celebrated with a harvest feast that lasted several days. Art student Betsy Bond, has just created the world’s largest knitting needles. The red plastic needles are 14 feet long, and perfectly useable. In order to be an official world record, she had to knit at least 10 stitches and rows of yarn. That’s going to be one gigantic blanket!
