Record-breaking cold temperatures have been common this winter. But what’s the coldest temperature possible? Absolute zero, when every skerrick of heat energy has been sucked out, is -459.67 degrees Fahrenheit. Absolute hot, the highest possible temperature, is 2.556 trigintillion degrees Fahrenheit: 2556 followed by 30 zeroes. Our sun’s core is only 18 million degrees!

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

How long do you think it would take you to row your boat across the Atlantic Ocean? The Four Oarsmen did it in 29 days! George Biggar, Dicky Taylor, Peter Robinson and Stuart Watts rowed 3000 miles from the Canary Islands to Antigua and raised 250,000 pounds for charity. They celebrated with a cup of tea.

BMW is Drifting Away

Drifting is a driving technique using oversteering and loss of traction in the wheels. BMW took drifting to a new level by setting two new world records. Not only did they drive an M5 sideways for a record-breaking 232 miles, they also had a second refueling vehicle drift alongside it for 49 miles!
