A zebra’s stripes, have long been thought to be for camouflage. The stripes help them blend in with tall grasses. But scientists discovered, that stripes also give them protection against blood-sucking flies. When researchers covered horses with striped blankets, the horseflies avoided the stripes. They preferred large dark objects the most.

Do you ever wonder why the wind blows? You can thank the Sun. It heats some parts of the planet more than others, and hot air rises because it’s less dense. When the heated air at ground-level goes up, cooler air rushes in to fill the space below, and you get a breeze.
