Simply wipe your phone dry, then air dry naturally until all moisture has evaporated, before plugging it in, or charge wirelessly.

It’s International Polar Bear Day! Polar bears have black skin, and transparent hollow hairs that scatter light, making their fur look white! They can grow 9 feet tall, and have paws one foot wide. Polar bears live in Arctic sea ice regions, so climate change and melting ice, has caused them to become endangered.

An extremely rare Pokemon card, could be worth $100,000. It’s the Pokemon Super Secret Battle Number 1 Trainer card, given to winners in Japanese tournaments, in 19 99. Today is Retro Day, so pick your favorite decade before cell phones, and have fun! Wear groovy bell-bottoms from the 70’s, or a dapper suit from the 50’s. Play video games from the 80’s, or watch movies from the 60’s. But every decade had yummy strawberries, which is good, because it’s also Strawberry Day!

Plastic bags, bottles, and straws are just a few of the plastics polluting the Earth. Take a step to help clean it up, by not using those things in the first place! Today is Skip The Straw Day. If you can’t handle strawless drinking, get a reusable metal or bamboo straw to use instead!

It’s also Pistachio Day, so while you’re seizing the day, seize a bag of pistachios, and seize a hammer to smash open the uncracked nuts.

For the first time in 180 years, giant tortoises are back on Floreana Island in the Galapagos. 158 captive-bred teenage tortoises were released there, on February 20th. Although the original Floreana tortoises went extinct, these tortoises are a close hybrid, descended from the original species. More tortoises will be released each year.

On February 28th, there will be a planetary parade, soon after sunset. You’re standing on the first planet, of course. In the sky, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn will be visible with the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune will require binoculars. Scope out a good spot now, for a planet-viewing party.
